User

Users are individual user accounts who have access to Coolr System. This includes API and human user accounts. From your perspective, it may also include store owners and sales reps based on functionalities you subscribe to.

User data is generally maintained by Coolr Group. However, client admin users can also manage their tenant users using the Coolr Portal.

Due to complexity involved, it is recommended not to use APIs to add/ update user. However, if you need to maintain this information, reach out to Coolr Support for samples. This may become necessary if you grant Store Owners and Sales Reps access to Coolr platform.

Users and Roles

Role management is highly configuration on the Coolr platform. By default it comes pre-defined with a few key roles:

  1. Client Admin: Can perform any actions in the platform
  2. Installer: Limited to installation and related activities
  3. Sales Rep: Has access to store level data. Access to add/ update outlet, products etc. is restricted

Installer

Installers also need to be configured as users in Coolr System. Without that, they cannot perform installation/ interact with devices/ outlets due to security reasons.

Sales Reps

If you do not wish to grant access to Sales Reps to the system, they can still be notified about actions to be performed via the email. However, it is highly recommended to configure Sales Reps as users in the system.
