Tips and Tricks

Purpose​

These tips and tricks provide quick guidance to help users navigate Playbook more efficiently and make the most of its features.

Tip 1: Use the X icon to return to the outlet list​

When viewing an outlet, click the X icon to return to the outlet list.

Hint: Avoid using the browser's Back button to leave outlet details — using the X icon preserves any filters you previously applied.

Tip 2: Copy values quickly using a keyboard shortcut​

Hover over a field in Playbook and press the keyboard shortcut to copy its value (for example: outlet name, code, or asset serial number).

  • macOS: Shift+Option+C
  • Windows/Linux: Shift+Alt+C

Scope: Global (Playbook)

This feature is useful when you need to reuse an outlet or asset identifier for lookup, cross-referencing, or reporting without manually selecting or typing the value.
