VistaZ Overview
VistaZ is CoolR Group’s flagship IoT camera platform designed for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) retail environments. The VistaZ family enables continuous visibility into coolers, freezers, and ambient shelves—providing actionable insights that power automated workflows such as availability tracking, compliance monitoring, and sales optimization.
VistaZ devices are purpose-built for rapid deployment, reliable operation, and long-term scalability across diverse in-store conditions.
VistaZ devices are ready to operate with a Global SIM Card installed for cellular connectivity.
Core Capabilities (Shared Across All Variants)
All VistaZ family devices support the following capabilities:
Image Capture
- High-resolution image capture using a wide-angle camera
- Configurable capture methods:
- Fixed time slots

- Optimized field of vision for coolers, freezers, and shelves
- Daily image counts are also configurable
Door Monitoring
- Time-stamped door open and close events
- Door open duration tracking
- Uses accelerometer and gyroscope (no magnets required)
- Supported for hinge doors
Sliding doors are currently not supported
Temperature Monitoring
- Continuous temperature sensing
- Accuracy dependent on installation location and airflow
Connectivity
- Cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth Low Energy support
- Remote device management and data transmission
- GNSS / assisted geo-location (variant dependent)
Data Logging & Storage
- Local flash storage for telemetry and images
- Resilient data handling during connectivity interruptions
Gateway Capability
- Can act as a gateway for approved third-party Bluetooth Low Energy devices
- Supports multi-device and multi-door scenarios (with VistaZ Link)
Design & Installation
- Consumer-safe, tamper-resistant enclosure
- Unibody construction with sealed electronics
- Peel-and-stick installation using industrial adhesive
- No specialized tools required
Supported Environments
- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Horizontal and vertical coolers
- Ambient retail shelves
Image Quality Considerations
Image quality may be affected by:
- Very bright light shining directly into the lens
- Very dark ambient environments
- Frequent fogging
- Products placed too close to the camera
Proper installation position and angle are critical to ensure optimal image capture.
Safety & Compliance (High-Level)
- Devices are designed using consumer-safe materials
- Internal components must not be punctured or immersed in water
- Dispose of devices and batteries according to local electronic waste regulations
- Regulatory certifications vary by variant and region
